Sound The Alarm

Every day nationally, seven people die in home fires, most in homes that lack working smoke alarms. Sadly, children and the elderly disproportionately lose their lives. The American Red Cross and Huffman EMS want to improve the odds and save lives - that’s why we joined the Sound the Alarm campaign. Together with local volunteers and other community partners, we will:

 •Canvass Huffman neighborhoods

 •Install free smoke alarms

 •Replace batteries in existing alarms

 •Provide fire prevention and safety education
